On July 4th, from What Did America Declare Its Independence?

July 4, 2010 by · 8 Comments

We declared ourselves free from those who would govern us based on what we could be deceived to believe. A generation weaned on the Age of Enlightenment insisted on government under the rule of law. And governance based on facts, not beliefs.

How’s that working out?

Remember Iraqi WMD? Iraqi ties to Al Qaeda? Iraq’s yellowcake uranium from Niger? Iraqi meetings in Prague? Iraqi mobile biological weapons laboratories?

All those facts are now known to be false. Yet Americans were deceived to do what? Believe. Ground Zero of the True Believers was Washington, DC where those sworn to protect us instead took us to war in Iraq—relying on false beliefs.

If waging war on false beliefs is not proof certain of a Dark Age, what is?

It gets even better.

Do you believe money is smarter than people? Of course not, right? Or do you?

I did. As counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance (1980-87), I helped craft federal legislation that grew funds under management (largely pension funds) from $800 billion in 1980 to $16.6 trillion by April 2007. The annual subsidy tops $150 billion.

Pile up that much money in one place and flies will gather. Akin to the casino skim, those massive sums were skimmed at least four times over the past two decades.

Remember the Savings & Loan fraud of the late 1980s? That fraud featured Arizona Senator John McCain and the infamous “Keating Five.” At a cost of $153 billion, that was just a warm-up. Then came the Enron scam and the dot.com crash. WorldCom alone was a $50 billion fraud. Now we’re talking real money.

Then came the subprime mortgage fraud enabled by the “financial creativity” that Fed Chief Alan Greenspan applauded as a sign of good old American ingenuity. What a guy.

Anything goes, he said. Let money do what money does best. After all, money is smarter than us, right? Believe it or not, that consensus belief is now enshrined in federal law. I had a True Believer hand in putting it there.

So did you. “Show me the money” you learned to insist. Why should you care about fiscal foresight, civil cohesion, environmental sustainability and such? That’s not your job, right? Just manage those funds to maximize your returns and fahgeddaboutit.

You too could be chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Deception on a Global Scale

How did this happen? How were we induced to abandon common sense and embrace a mindset so disconnected from reality?

How deep is this consensus belief imbedded in the American psyche? So deep we can’t even see it.

We were educated so that this belief became the lens with which—and through which—we now do our seeing. To see a consensus mindset is like trying to see your own eyeballs or bite your own teeth.

Where do consensus beliefs reside? In the shared field of consciousness akin to a shared belief that our sports team is better than theirs. Where does that reside?

How were we induced to embrace such a money-myopic worldview? Answer: step-by-step—in the same way we were induced to invade Iraq based on false beliefs that we were spoon-fed over years.

Rather than “let my people go,” the refrain is now “let my money go.” We were taught to Truly Believe that the freedom of money is an appropriate proxy for personal freedom. Now we even pursue money as a proxy for our pursuit of happiness.

Mindset Warfare

Ideas become weapons when waging Information Age warfare. Strategic psy-ops narrow the field of possibilities. Inside a narrowed mental framework, outcomes become probabilities and futures become predictable—within a range of probabilities.

At its internalized core, that’s how modern-day warfare proceeds in plain sight. The target (that’s us) is induced to freely embrace the very forces that undermine our freedom, step-by-step. While we put our faith in financial assets, our consensus-enabled purchasing power flowed overseas where China is reinvesting in commodities.

In Star Wars terminology, an internalized “force” becomes imbedded inside you—and you inside it. Thus the ruinous effects of false beliefs. And phony intelligence. And consensus economic policies. Thus the need to protect ourselves from such duplicity.

At its internalized core, this duplicity becomes “Zionism.” Zionists specialize in displacing facts with beliefs, thereby suspending the rule of law in plain sight. For Zionist strategists, “facts” don’t need to be true, just plausible. Tell that to a child whose parent perished in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Let’s keep it simple: Zionism operates in plain sight as transnational organized crime. This mindset-enabled systemic corruption is fast growing to global scale in plain sight. Absent a complicit media, deception on such a scale would be impossible.

The good news: this problem can be solved. The bad news: the solution requires that we abandon many of our ill-founded beliefs.

Never Again

The solution reverts back to the role that the Founders envisioned for education and information in preserving our liberty. Education comes from the Latin e-ducere – “to lead out of.” Out of where? Darkness.

That’s where Americans now reside with the help of Fox News, CNN, The New York Times, Newsweek and dozens of mainstream media outlets that keep us in the dark about the common source of this duplicity.

At the Ground Zero of Darkness are found those who duped America. How were we deceived to invade Iraq? The same way we were induced to brand the bastion of freedom with a “Washington” consensus that reveres financial freedom above all else.

As a People, how did we learn to hate people of another faith (Islam)? How did we slip into our longest ever war and what could yet become our deepest ever depression?

As we lead each other back into the light, let us resolve on this July 4th to force into the light those who induced us into a darkness that may yet be the undoing of democracy.

Let us resolve that never again will such systemic duplicity be allowed to gain a foothold. Not in our government. And not in the shared mindset of those who call themselves Americans.

Only with that shared commitment can we recover and protect our independence.

Thanks for the article. The rot has penetrated so deeply, I can only comment in generalities without grossly taking up room for comments.

The once majestic elm that lined the streets of our towns in grandeur, and our predominant northern forest tree, the massive American chestnut, are now remnants to be found in isolated pockets, much like those who cry out in the wilderness in forums like this. These majestic trees fell to Asian plant diseases spread by Asian beetle larvae in the same way our majestic political principles have fallen to opportunistic Asian parasites against which we, like our great trees, had no natural defenses. Our principles of liberty and freedom were well understood by the Founders to be fragile graces bought by the culture of Christendom, and ever on the verge of extinction.

Kant spoke of cultural discernment, that ability among a people to recognize what is fitting and proper, and what is not. Our First Amendment freedom of speech could only survive among men of good will who understood this. Asian immigrants will evil intent saw this as an opportunity to attack our culture, and in their own words, sought to destroy Western civilization and Christendom itself. But why? What could possibly motivate immigrants enjoying unbounded freedom to seek to destroy the very host that made their prosperity possibly, unless their own culture was parasitic to begin with?

Mention is made of money, and Spengler predicted a century ago that these people would end up creating money out of thin air, tricking a profit as well from every piece of honest work. And so they have. I believe he was anticipating financial instruments like derivatives, and could not comprehend that inflation would enable them to also turn the virtues of thrift and saving into economic vices as wealth is confiscated and the poorest among us punished the most.

Whenever I read the sordid details of the obscenity, filth, degradation, gratuitous violence, racial strife, ethnic conflict, pathologization of normalcy, glorification of perversion and vice, drugs, the dehumanizing therapeutic industry, a humanitarianism that is lethal to its beneficiaries, demonizing the canon of our literary heritage–the list of their weapons of cultural warfare could go on endlessly–I am struck by Richard Weaver’s plaintive cry a half-century ago that they have destroyed the metaphysical basis for culture itself. Given that there is a tendency to everything they say, do, or write that is subversive, it strikes me that endlessly describing the symptoms without identifying the parasite can only end in the final death of our culture. The cultural organism of the West was weakened by what Kant optimistically dubbed the Age of Enlightenment, and it’s no surprise these parasites dwell on writers like Thomas Paine, the Transcendentalists, and others who created the wounds of impiety and self interest in which this alien parasite grew with the speed of contagion.

The name of this site could apply equally to our own government. Could there be a greater force for evil in the lives of our citizens than our own federal government? The media and Hollywood are evil incarnate, but they lack the ability to imprison and murder, by which our government derives its power, while imbeciles talk of the consent of the governed. Is there any limit to its championing of depravity even among five-year-olds, financial crimes, incineration of countless millions of innocents abroad, misallocation of our natural resources, imprisoning of even young women in conditions that amount to torture, and enslavement of those not yet born to criminal debts laid upon them by programs which benefit only those who promote them? By destroying religion–their next target of federal proscription–they will extinguish the rediscovery of metaphysical principles that underlie that cultural discernment every citizen must have to recognize, isolate, and exterminate opportunistic parasites that probe every weakness.

There are no programs or policies that will turn this nation and its culture of death around. There are no politicians who can effect the change in the hearts of men and women needed to derive action from principle as opposed to self interest, greed, and hedonism. Religion can do that, cure our soul sickness, and therefore, it must be be extirpated. When Elena Kagan is approved by the Senate, we will see just how red in tooth and claw these forces are as it becomes a crime to speak the truth. As Spengler also noted, could there be a more disgusting display of cowardice than witnessing men worrying themselves to death over what they might die from, rather than preparing themselves for what is worth dying for? Until that change in the souls of Americans happens, fighting the topical evil of the day coming from Hollywood and Washington will never take root.

As I have said a million times before, until the dumbed down Americans figure out what is happening to them by way of the banksters and the complicit government and media, we will continue to go down even further into the abyss. Things cannot change until we have a constiutional republic again and get rid of 99% of the elected gov. officials. Ron Paul must become our next president. It is the only way.

You are confused. This “country” was built on theft, looting, murder, and rape. Nothing has changed except the amounts looted and the color of the skin of the people affected.

The 4th is a symbol of murder and acquisition. Celebrate it. It’s what you want and are only angry when you personally cannot have it.

    Dan Reply:

Lili, your comment reeks of leftist rhetoric, supposing that because men are sinful creatures, the answer lies in destroying the good with the bad under the aegis of humanitarianism, and betrays your projection of personal inadequacy onto your betters in the form of that self-righteous anger you yourself are most guilty of. The Fourth, if anything, represents our emancipation from tyranny at the hand of English kings and their minions given tax-collecting fiefdoms over the colonists. The author Joseph Conrad explored the mind of your kind in “Under Western Eyes” and “The Secret Agent,” exposing your crie d’coeur for the call to mayhem in the name of justice it always turns out to be. Get a job and get off the dole, Lili, and earn the right to speak like a freewoman among equals. We have slipped back into tyranny–you’d be right about that–and primarily because ignorance like yours allows our overlords to consolidate power by preaching vengeance under the banner of “change” and “hope.” Unfortunately for you, if history is any guide, those who foment hatred and violence are the first to suffer its consequences.

At some point in the future, calling someone an American, will be a way of insulting someone, implying that they’re dumb, ignorant piece of crap.

  6. A couple of comments,

“Democracy”….this is a republic as established by yhe Constitution.
“Democracy” was part of the propaganda of WWI. Words represent concepts.

Read Jefferson’s original draft of the Declaration. It has a section removed by committee before officialized and signed. This section has to do with black slavery.

It is not Left nor Right to see the hypocrisy of “the only good injun is a dead injun”.

It is hubris to ignore the hypocrisies of our past, even if we celebrate freeing ourselves from tyranny.
Putting a psople into concentration camps–”reservations” is not a celebration of the individual rights of man.

The purpose of money was to replace the barter system It was never the intention that a handful of individuals could corner the market and accumulate obscene amounts of the stuff, they would have to live hundreds of luxurious lifetimes to dispose of what they have commandered / defrauded / stolen. The time must come when to serve the general well being of all a limit be put on the wealth an individual can hold.
